For new clients we require deposit (40% of total order amount) to get started. This is the only way to warrant a time slot.
The remaining balance is due before full outcome is released from us.
Once the work has been started, the deposit becomes non-refundable (partially or fully- the amount is calculated from the time already spent on the work).
For all the payments we issue appropriate invoices.
B. General Preparation
It is always strongly recommended to send us files prior to any session. On our FAQ page section B, you can find the detailed explanation why. Also, only this way you can assure the rate as we may ask for additional fee if we spot some issues during mastering session.
Please verify on your side all the files/media against issues (file corruption, proper material, all processing on your side was appropriately switched on/off during rendering) before uploading.
When the source files/media use some proprietary formats, please make sure you have all the appropriate readers.
Please make sure that files destined for mastering:
should not have any fades at the beginning/end,
should be exported with appropriate tail time (reverb tails, etc.),
do not contain any unintended clicks (for example caused by short attack/release times in used instrumentsʼ volume/fx envelopes and compressors or as a result of some power interference) and/or any unwanted distortion.
We may ask for additional fee when we will be forced to deal with files that were not prepared in a way to allow us to work from scratch. Always ask us using our CHAT or CONTACT form if unsure how to prepare to any session.
C. Attended sessions
C1. Preparation
Please make sure:
all the media you are going to bring with you are verified against failures,
all the files are in correct format/rendered correctly and can open with no issue. It is the way to save session time. We may ask for additional fee if it happens that there are some issues with media we need to solve during session,
you are prepared for the session yourself- you have all the topics for discussion at hand and you are focused solely on the session.
C2. Food/drinks
We do not allow food/drinks in the room, please make sure you are stuffed/watered enough prior to session.
C3. Attendance/attendees
Please make sure that only the most important personage will attend. Itʼs not that we donʼt have enough room. Sometimes the number of people in the room is directly related to number of unrelated discussions that may disrupt and/or prolong the session.
C4. Sessions
Please note that in general some parts of the session require quite focus and attention. Thus, we do not allow too much freedom to attendees. We all (you too) strive for as efficient session as possible, so please respect that. It is also usually best to attend the session when some part of the work has already been completed/revisioned, it makes the session well organized and more effective.
D. Revisions
We communicate that the outcome is ready for revision as soon as possible, and that you are provided with files for you to do that.
2 rounds of revisions are included in the price. We limit revision time max to 2 days per revision, after which the outcome is assumed revisioned.
E. Delivery
E1. Approval
Upon work completion we will ask for approval of the outcome. We limit approval time to max 5 days, after which the outcome is assumed approved.
E2. Balance
Upon approval we will ask you to clear the remaining payment and the remaining balance invoice is being issued. When cleared, the outcome is released to you immediately.
E3. Delivery audio levels
We do mastering for streaming by default. It means that the delivered audio is loudness normalized to levels that are optimized for majority of streaming platforms. Optimization is done in a way that in most cases it should not cause any non-linear processing (like limiting) on the streaming side. It assures that audio quality is preserved as much as possible.
Alternate mixes are also available, yet priced separately (at reduced rate).
E4. Delivery formats
We deliver outcome in formats that were requested upon an order (audio files, duplication plant files, etc.). Additionally, we prepare lossy format equivalents by default for your convenience as well, so you donʼt need to do that yourself with possible quality loss.
We may ask for additional fee if you will ask for additional formats, different sample rates, etc. at a later time.
F. Changes
Changes are sometimes inevitable part of the project. Please always discuss change requests rate with us, the type (fixed/hourly) before they occur, based on how it would best work for you.
If it happens that you decide to change the source files (f.e. mixes) for whatever the reason is, then:
after work has begun- please notify us as soon as possible as it might impact the fee,
after work has been finished- we will ask for additional fee related to changes you have made or to agreed rate.
Any changes requested after outcome delivery are subject for additional fees related to change request.
