RE-MASTERING at a glance:

You have certainly heard about remastered re-issues that fans reported as unlistenable, tiring, distorted, harsh, bright, etc.
The process, commonly not well understood, gained quite bad reputation, unfortunately. Thatʼs because artists/producers/labels on one side of the fence and fans on the other, have quite different expectations and goals, not many heads do really care about.
Fortunately it doesnʼt need to be like this at all. At Sonic Science Lab we, with utmost attention, combine these to an advantage along with an ethical respect to original recordings and already released master files.
We do that at no quality impact even when competitive loudness may be required!
Letʼs reveal the shocking secret- well done remastering can make recordings much more powerful, yet with no compromises fans tend to complain about nor goals missed on any side either. As long as original files were not damaged irreversibly, we can actually put your recordings at a great new spot with loudness levels and subtleties brought skilfully to life, your fans will rave about.
We strongly encourage you to re-think re-issues as yet another way to attract and content your fans!
It usually requires relatively small effort from your side in relation to the level of impact you can gain!
Please note, as remastering sometimes involves transfers from analog mediums, on no account we encourage you to send us these precious mediums over any significant distance. They can be partially or even fully damaged when not handled carefully.
Instead, find reputable engineer as close as possible to your location, some may specialize in just transfers. Then, ask for pure, flat transfer with best equipment possible (if not sure do not hesitate to contact us!), having in mind that some engineers may put specific EQ on the path which sometimes might be desirable. Then send us transferred files, providing detailed info on source format and medium.
We have no issue if you prefer to stay with transfer engineer, however we encourage you to try us at no charge as below, if we can do better.
The procedure is as follows, applies only to files already flat-transferred from analog mediums, or just source files if you never recorded out of digital:
For new clients the procedure is as follows:
Existing clients are entitled for individual approach/benefits and already know the process, usually tailored to their specific needs.
